I have read recently that a registry cleaner was an unneeded and in fact, a useless tool for computer repair and maintenance. As far as I am concerned, nothing could be further from the truth. It is my position no PC owner should be without one.
I will use this article to make a case in favor of registry cleaners because I know their use is important in fighting off registry corruption. Also, I will talk about just what registry corruption can do to an operating system and how it can hinder normal computer operations.
Normal Computer Use Will Cause Registry Corruption
I repair computers as my line of work. I know registry corruption is a reality because I see it all the time. I’ve seen registry corruption slow computers down to the extent they were aggravating to operate and I’ve seen it render computers inoperable. I also have used registry cleaners to get a great many of these broken computers back up and running again. Most times, this has happened to the surprise and delight of my customers.
If you are looking for laboratory results to judge what a registry cleaner can do, I can’t help you there. However, if you want to know if you can get by without ever using a registry cleaner, all I can say is, probably not. Sooner or later it is very likely your registry will become corrupt and the only way I know to fix it is with a registry cleaner.
You Can’t Leave Corruption In the Registry and Expect Good Performance
It is true, registry corruption wasn’t very much of a consideration a few years back. However, now with the huge file systems Windows XP and Vista operate under, it takes a long times for one operation to take place when it has to work through corruption. I know this may not make sense, but one piece of corruption will probably only affect a small area of a small operating system. However, the same amount of corruption will affect many areas in a large operating system. That is just the way it is.
Without cleaning corruption out of a PC, it will become slower and slower. In time, it will commit errors and eventually the “blue screen of death becomes inevitable!
Registry Cleaners Are a Good Thing
I’d like to know what anybody who doesn’t use registry cleaners does when they run into problems with their computers that are caused by registry corruption, because I’ve seen a good registry cleaner solve problems with poorly functioning computers 100′s of times!
In any event, the first thing I do when I encounter a slow computer is make sure there is no spyware or viruses present. Then, once I know the PC is free of these things and it still does not perform normally, a registry scan is the next logical step.
From my experience, I know once you clean a corrupt registry with a good registry cleaner, the computer starts to perform better than it has in a while. I have had many happy customers remark after their computer’s registry was cleaned, that they hadn’t seen their computer perform so well in a long time.
