I read an article on a website recently which stated registry cleaners were of no use and people shouldn’t waste their time or money on them. This author said he could not change his mind about this without seeing some convincing data.

In this article, I would like to make it clear registry cleaners are an important tool that should be used periodically as a regular part of computer upkeep. I will also make the case corruption in the registry will greatly diminish a computer’s speed and overall performance.

This article doesn’t contain any stat sheets or lab reports of any kind. Being a computer technician, I am concerned with the well-being of computers and it is from this point of view I will make my case.

Seeing is Believing

I know a registry cleaner has the potential to get a sick computer back on its feet. The way I know is I’ve actually seen it happen many, many times. I know from experience what registry corruption can do to a computer and have many satisfied customers because of the great work of a top notch registry cleaner.

There are no two ways about it, in today’ computing world, corruption will find its way into the your computer’s registry and the only way to get it out is to use a good registry cleaner. Period!

The newer operating systems, namely Windows XP and Vista corrupt easily, and because these OS’s are so huge, a little bit of corruption goes a long way toward deteriorating their performance. As corruption builds up in the registry the computer’s speed will suffer, errors will become frequent and the blue screen of death often will occur.

No Hypotheses, But a Way of Life

As a certified computer technician, many customers have brought me their computers because they had slowed to the point they could not be used. After checking them for viruses and spyware and finding nothing of significance, the next step was to do a registry scan and usually by doing so, I’d find 100′s of incidents of corruption. So at that point, I would go ahead and let the program clean the registry. This always seems to get the computer back to normal performance and sometimes even beyond.

I have no idea why there are some who are preaching against registry cleaners when I have seen them save computers from their demise time and time again!

For anyone who is still skeptical, here’s the deal. A good registry cleaner offers a free scan so you can see if you have a corrupt registry before you commit to buying one. If you have no corruption, the case is closed, you don’t need a cleaner. If you do have corruption, you can buy a cleaner with a complete money back guarantee. So, if your computer’s not running right and you have no spyware or viruses but you do have registry corruption, I believe the only way you’re going to get your computer going full speed ahead again, is to use a good registry cleaner.
